My first time for Taiwanese Breakfast.My friends and I went on a short Chicago trip last month. From my friends recommendation, we stopped by Chinese Cafe in Westmont, IL for traditional Taiwanese breakfast. Westmont, IL is about 30-40mins away from downtown Chicago.Chinese Cafe is located inside the International Plaza, which consist of an Asian grocery + food court. This place gets really crowded by 11am!![caption id="attachment_52" align="alignnone" width="600"] Chinese Cafe 南北和[/caption]Chinese Cafe only serves Taiwanese Breakfast on the weekends. If my memory served me right, I believe they start serving breakfast around 10:30am. Now that was the first time I am having Taiwanese breakfast, I basically wanted to try everything on the menu and their price looks good too![caption id="attachment_54" align="alignnone" width="360"] Weekend Breakfast Menu[/caption]Mind you, the counter lady does not speak English very well, but she was very nice. I was able to order just pin pointing the menu and of course with my friends help as well.TA DA! Below is what bf and I ordered. We have other items too, but I forgot to take pictures :P

Tani Sushi Bistro is known in St. Louis as a hip place. I came here with my co-worker on a Monday evening, it was my first time to Tani. First was impression was nice setting, dark modern setting with a little Asian decor. From my friends ... this place is very packed Friday nights and weekends.
Our Monday evening wasn't so bad, I did made reservation. We were seated promptly.

Fantastic deep dish pizza in STL! I came here last week with 3 of my friends. It was a Friday evening and we arrived around 6:15pm without reservation. I wasn't surprised that there was a wait line, there was a lady in the front desk took my name down and told me the waiting time is about 30 mins and we could go grab a drink at the bar.

The waiting time was about right, we were seated in about 30 mins. There is a lower level in this location, we were seated at the lower level right by the stairway (not my favorite because of all the customer walking up and down, but I have no choice due to the busy hours). Atmosphere was nice, a little loud at times, but its fine with me ... its a pizzeria place.

Loves to eat, travel and eat! Wouldn't that be nice?
