Ok, I've heard my BF talked about this restaurant, but never got a chance to try it. Actually, BF wanted to take me to Orenchi, but we weren't aware Orenchi was closed from 12/31-1/3! Then we went to another ramen, but closed again ... so we ended up at Cooking Papa.

The place is not very big, but always very busy. Tables were small and tightly packed ... service ... expect the usual Asian restaurant service.

BF picked out 2 items and I picked 1 clay pot rice.

Snow Pea Tips Rice Noodle Roll - there were a few other stuffing choices, but we opted for one that we don't see much and it has veggies. Rice noodle were hot, soft and chewy!

Steamed Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf - I was shocked to see how huge this thing is! There were plentiful of green beans, meats, and of course the salted egg yolk! It was served a small bowl of sweet-salty soy sauce.

Lastly, the clay pot rice.

Chinese Sausage & Preserved Pork Clay Pot Rice - this takes 15 minutes to cook, so order early. Ours came out pretty fast. I've over heard the clay pot rice here is cook to order. It was pipping hot! The fragrance were so good! I was hoping for a little more sausage ... it does look like too little meats dangling on top of the rice. But I love the crispy rice on the edges of the clay pot, that's the best part!

I've heard the Egg Puffs were good, but we didn't have any more room for it.

This place is always packed, be prepare to wait. Parking could be a pain, but worth it.
